I could not be more excited that American Gladiators is back on TV. It is the same show we know and love from the eighties, with a few new events and crazier film editors. Except for the motion sickness-inducing editing at points, it is perfect. How every major city does not have at least 1 American Gladiator theme park for people to run the events against their friends is a mystery. And a tragedy. How expensive can it be to put a bunch of foam in a warehouse?
BTW, the nude pictures (link is just a blog post, you perverts) are of Militia, not Titan. I was sure Titan would be the ex-porn star.

I’m a little bit of a political junkie, so I’m going to pass on a couple of links that are relevant for now [not good enough to be on my links to the left, so if you are on there you should definitely feel honored (and if not, you should send me your url so I can add you)]:
Delegate Tracker – An Associated Press primary delegate tracker for all of the states, along with a lot of other information regarding the primaries/caucuses
270toWin – An interactive map of the electoral college votes for each state from 1789 to now. Use it to play with scenarios. They also use polling data to pre-populate some answers.

I bought the Juno soundtrack yesterday, and have listened to it 4 or 5 times so far. It’s kind of indie-folk, so not my normal rock and roll/metal type of selection, but I really like it. The movie was excellent too, as previously noted.

Woo! New Years!Jenna and I went out to The Elbow Room to watch Erin’s boyfriend’s band play and to ring in the new year at a bar with some friends. They had cheap drinks and delicious greasy food, and it was fun to have live music. It was a lot of fun, up until the point where we had to drive home and there was 5 inches of snow. We left the elbow room around 1:30 or so and no plow trucks had been out. Luckily we were not in any particular hurry to get home, so we just hopped on 94 and drove 20 miles per hour the whole way back. This morning I woke up at 6:30 for some ungodly reason, puttered around a little, and then went back to fall asleep until the game started. And oh, what a glorious game it was. Not only did Lloyd Carr, Shawn Crable, Jake Long, Chad Henne, Mike Hart, and all of the other seniors and coaches go out on a winning note, but we did it by beating Florida. For those of you who don’t know me, I have a deep and irrational hatred of Florida teams (except for USF, but that is only because Michigan Radio’s Dustin Dwyer is a proud alumnus) as well as the SEC. No one tell Grandpa Jim. After the game I did a celebratory driveway shoveling, and we went over to my parents for dinner/Vikki’s birthday. The new year is starting out very well.

I installed Gallery2 for my new picture gallery. It seems pretty excellent, especially since I found iPhotoToGallery which allows me to export albums directly from iPhoto. Check it out, the permanent link is at the top of the page or you can click here.
