Lloyd had another bath today on his awesome whale sponge. Afterwards, we wrapped his head in a towel to keep in warm.

Three seconds after taking this, Lloyd peed EVERYWHERE.

First couple of days
December 9th, 2008 · 2 Comments
Greg, Lloyd and I are doing very well. Lloyd has a very demanding schedule of wanting to eat about every hour for at least 15 minutes, but we’re somehow making it work due to the help of our friends and family. So far Lloyd has no patience for sleeping in his bassinet, and so we’re pretty much holding him 100% of the time. Hopefully this and the feeding schedule will improve in the not-too-distant future, but we really don’t mind all the snuggling!
Here are some pics. I figured out how to use one of my slings and it was super cool being able to have two hands free while still holding the baby.

Greg has discovered that Lloyd’s tummy makes a fine mouse pad.

Glowing Lloyd
December 9th, 2008 · 2 Comments
Lloyd has his first Doctor’s appointment on Monday. His Bilirubin levels were slightly high, meaning that he was a little jaundice-y. Under the fluorescent lights we could see he was a bit yellow. We were sent an electric blanket that bathes him in Vitamin D, which he has to stay wrapped in as much as possible for two days.
We filmed this 30 second movie of him wrapped in the glowing blanket, being held in his favorite burping position (which looks uncomfortable, but trust us, he likes it), having the hiccups, and wondering who the heck this Billy Rubin guy is.
