Lloyd is now such a grown-up guy. Read on to learn about what Lloyd’s up to now and to see some more pictures.

Lloyd is 10 months old, although he’s starting to wear clothes sized 2T. He’s crawling like a pro. He also is pulling himself up to stand on any surface he can get a hand on, and is cruising along the furniture. Lloyd is also having a lot of fun learning how to climb. He can make it up about six stairs now before he’s bored and wants to do something else.

As a result of all of this mobility, the downstairs is finally baby-proofed. We call the living room our “gated community” but it is so nice being able to let Lloyd crawl and explore freely without having to constantly re-direct him or tell him “no.”

Lloyd’s favorite game right now is to chase the cats. The cats play along, letting Lloyd get just an inch too far away before they run ahead a couple more yards and let Lloyd try and catch them again. While he chases them, or whenever he sees them, or whenever it’s obvious he’s thinking about them, Lloyd says “kitty.” So cute! Too bad he’s unable to restrain himself from pulling out all of the poor cats’ hair when he does manage to get within reach. We’re working on “gentle.”

We’ve been able to continue doing a lot of attachment parenting techniques including continued breastfeeding and a lot of co-sleeping. Lloyd will spend a couple hours in his crib each night, but we’re okay with him getting up into the bed when he wakes up that first time. Sleeping has improved a lot in the last week or so!

He also eats about four meals of “solid” baby food, which now come in hilarious varieties like “Sweet Potato Cinnamon Bisque” and “Thanksgiving Dinner.” We’ve also started giving him table scraps torn into itty-bitty-teeny-tiny-little pieces.

We’re also getting more social. Lloyd and I are now in a book club with three other stay-at-home moms and their babies and we meet with them once a week. We also stay in touch with our birth class mom and babies and see them about every two months. And yesterday Lloyd started swim class with Greg and seems to be having a great time.

We can’t believe how fast time is flying by! Lloyd is turning into such a little man with a great personality and a tremendous will to learn and grow.

And HERE is a quick video of Lloyd trying to eat the camera while I try and make a movie.
